Investing in Our Region
We don't just manage the waste for the Crowsnest Pass and Pincher Creek regions, we live here, too. That’s why the Landfill Association is dedicated to giving back to the communities we serve.
From helping local clubs raise money to supporting our high school graduates, here is how we are investing in our region.
The "Litter Clean-Up" Fundraiser
Looking for a fast, hands-on way to raise money for your sports team, scout troop, or community club? Come help us keep the facility grounds pristine!
We will pay your user group $15.00 per person, per hour (for up to 3 hours per visit) to help us pick up blown paper and litter around the landfill. It’s an excellent way to raise funds quickly while doing something tangibly good for the local environment.
Community Event Grants (Up to $1,000)
Hosting a local celebration, festival, or running a school event that needs a financial boost? We have a dedicated fund specifically designed to help local non-profits and schools make these community events happen.
Eligible local organizations can apply for up to $1,000 per year in special donation funding.
High School Scholarships
We are incredibly proud to support the next generation of local leaders, builders, and innovators. Every year, we award a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating student from each of our four regional high schools:
Crowsnest Consolidated High School
Livingstone School
Matthew Halton High School
St. Michael’s High School
Who can apply?
To qualify for the $1,000 award, you must:
Be a graduate of one of the four high schools listed above.
Apply within 2 years of your high school graduation date.
Provide confirmation of enrollment/registration at an accredited University, College, or Trade School.
Demonstrate leadership and a history of contributing to our local communities.
Spring Community Clean-Up Days
Spring cleaning shouldn't be a hassle. Every spring, we deliver large roll-off bins to specific neighborhoods and towns throughout the region. This gives residents a free and easy way to get rid of unwanted household waste right in their own community without making the drive out to the facility.
