Your Partners in a Cleaner Community
Our Mission
Our goal is simple: to keep Southern Alberta clean, green, and healthy. We provide the communities of the Crowsnest Pass and Pincher Creek with a sustainable, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible way to manage our region's waste.
Proudly Serving Our Neighbors
We are a community-owned operation. The facility is administered by a local manager and overseen by a Board of Directors made up of councillors from the very communities we serve.
Our primary service areas include:
The Municipality of Crowsnest Pass
The Town of Pincher Creek
The Municipal District of Pincher Creek #9
The Village of Cowley (Note: We also accept a limited quantity of waste from outside these immediate boundaries).
Our History
Pioneering Waste Management in Alberta
We have a proud history of leading the way in environmental protection.
1976: We opened our gates as the very first regional landfill in Alberta. The operating procedures created right here in our backyard became the gold standard, eventually embraced by facilities across the province and the country.
1997 & 2006: To continually protect the surrounding landscape and maximize our efficiency, we underwent a major, province-approved "vertical expansion." This modern engineering plan secured decades of reliable, environmentally responsible landfill capacity for our local communities.
Where to Find Us
Our regional landfill occupies 16 acres of land, located approximately 3 km southwest of the Village of Cowley.
